Tiziana Tini

Tiziana Tini recently rediscovered her love of painting and with the strong encouragement of family began to pursue her passion. A largely self taught artist, her art is an extension of her vibrant personality - a reflection of a unique sense of style, colour and fun. Working in both abstracts and figurative painting, primarily using a medium of acrylic paint, her work conveys aspects of beauty and spirituality she encounters at home and in her travels.

The abstract work portrays balances and harmonies of colour and form without carrying the associations of subject matter, thereby leaving viewers free to their own interpretations. The figurative paintings centre on people and their community - family and friends in aspects of their every day lives. Use of colour and attention to detail brings a depth and often a little whimsy to all her paintings!

Having emigrated from Italy in 1975, Ottawa is now Tiziana’s permanent home. Although finding the time to paint is always a challenge, especially with her current employment as a financial assistant, with her steadfast commitment to her art, she has already sold a number of paintings.
